Sandra Bowers
Born in 1959 in England I only started working with computers in the mid 80′s as a user at that time but with an affinity for the machines and software so I quickly moved into support and training. I spent 2 years in Kuwait where I investigated the art of programming and when I was back in England in 1989 I again went into support and training I moved into different jobs until staying in my last job for 14 years and ending up as the Internet / Intranet manager – lots of training courses behind me but no real vision for where I was to go. So I moved to Spain to do something totally different, I run a B&B with my partner Keith in Javea, Costa Blanca and I love it. But I do still love to tinker on the computer, so I built our website for the business www.estrellalodge.com and then the site for the tennis and then I started to look to see if I could make a little business out of this – but I only wanted something part time so provided a couple of websites for friends where they can manage the site themselves, so I did all the initial work and left them using a content management system to keep it up to date.
Where are we now? well another business opportunity has come my way, again to do with computers, the internet and user support – called automatic geek it is a great help to anyone who is not fully knowledgeable about computers and the internet – yes it did help me. It also provides a great opportunity for doing some business and making a lot of money.
